Biography |
Stephen Power is an award-winning travel writer and photographer based in Ireland.
He is close to the borders of county Kerry, County Clare, and County Limerick. And is regarded as a specialist photographer and writer for Irish topics.
Stephen won the 2007 NAPP Guru Award for photography. Also in 2007 the prestigious Association of Editorial Photographers of the UK & Ireland honoured Stephen Power with a "Showcase" of his work.
His recent clients include: The Irish Times, The Sunday Times, Dorling Kindersley Guide Books, Johnson Press (Ireland) and MediaTeam Publications.
He recently traveled in New Mexico and Washington State for features for The Irish Times “Go” supplement.
He photographed the “Six Best Pubs in Ireland” for the Sunday Times Travel Magazine and spent 5 months on “The Backroads of Ireland” for a new Dorling Kindersley (DK) book.
As a writer, Stephen Power also has a specialist interest in psychology - including travel psychology - and is the author of a widely acclaimed book and many magazine and journal articles on related topics.
Stephen is a member of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), the USA-based National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP).

Photographs published in over 150 magazines, and 20 books from various publishing houses. Stock photography used in various applications including, posters, calendars and advertising. Also provided a large number of photo-features, combining photography and copy.
