Areas of particular interest or expertise Spain is a specialism and a passion. I am a fluent Spanish speaker. I lived in the beautiful Roman city of Segovia, Castilla y Léon, and specialised in the country for my BA Hons degree. I spent two years travelling and immersing myself in its traditions and culture as editor of Everything Spain.

I'm also a Francophile - I lived in Britanny - and fluent French speaker, (a language I'm using regularly in my part-time role as editor of Gabon, a magazine produced by Impact Media (www.impact-media-group.com) that showcases the West African francophone country to the Anglophone world).

I have a strong interest and experience of the Middle East, having lived and worked in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) where I edited its leading glossy women's title, Emirates Woman, for four years and where my most memorable moment was meeting the world's most inspiring politician Nelson Mandela at the Burj al-Arab, the world's tallest hotel.
Other relevant information In 2002, I spent four months travelling by truck across South America (Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile). Prior I spent a year working in Tokyo in Japan and a year travelling around South East Asia (India, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos.
