Biography |
2005 - date
Senior Staff Photojournalist working for the Khaleej Times in Dubai covering news for the main paper and subsidiary City Times plus features for the Weekend Magazine. Continuing to freelance for clients outside of the UAE.
1998 – 2005
Full time freelance writer, photographer and photojournalist. Also runs small photographic library specialising in travel and social documentary images from around the world which include contributions from some 100 external photographers. Clients include book and magazine publishers, advertising and design agencies and the corporate market.
1983 – 1999
Joint partner in the Swift Group with Anne Barclay (freelance writer and editor). Tiered business incorporating professional business training, personnel and recruitment, administrative and editorial services. Oversaw and directly involved in all aspects of the business as well as freelance writing and photography. Clients included government bodies, magazines and the corporate market. High profile work included interviews with Sir Stirling Moss and Gordon Ramsay.
First worked as a freelance photographer in the early 70s with travel being a high priority. Published photographic work covers a wide range of countries such as the US, Spain, Holland, the Canary Islands, Vietnam, Malaysia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the Gambia.
