Biography |
I have been a writer for 25 years. I have always lived in London, received a grammar school education and gained a degree in psychology at Reading University. I am married with two children and four grandchildren. I spent 18 years as a teacher in the state system before joining my husband as a freelance writer. I continue to teach, mainly trainee journalists. I have travelled widely, including to the Himalayas, Australia and the USA, and have co-authored several books. I work mostly in partnership with my husband, Peter (qv), and we cover many subjects, not only mountaineering. |

I write articles and books. I have written for the Sunday Times, Financial Times, Weekend Telegraph, and Mail on Sunday, and various magazines. The topics include both outdoor and general subjects.
