Biography |
Most of my work features Scotland, but I also cover active travel to wild places elsewhere in Europe. I focus on outdoor issues, such as conservation and access, and outdoor activities, especially walking and mountain biking. I’m interested in all landscapes – including mountains, rivers, woods and coasts – and the wildlife associated with them. I’ve lived in Scotland since 1980, having moved north after falling in love with the country on walking, kayaking and camping trips. In 1998, I left behind a career in training, IT and communications to become a full-time freelance writer and photographer. |
