Biography Alex Ekins has been climbing, traveling and having adventures for over 25-years. He studied photojournalism at the legendary Sheffield College and his words and pictures have been published widely in the national press and in specialist rock-climbing, mountaineering and adventure publications. Alex is a qualified mountaineering and rock-climbing instructor (MIA) and a summer and winter mountain leader (WML + SML). Alex can operate safely and efficiently in the world’s most extreme mountain and desert environments.
Main professional activities Photographer and Photojournalist specialising in Rock-climbing, mountaineering, expeditions and adventure travel. 25+ years experience of working with young people in outdoor and adventurous activities. Retained by Sheffield Council to document and provide archive images of Sheffield.
